One-Visit Implants

In the past it took 2 different dentists to place and than restore an implant. Today, the complete procedure can be completed in-house... by one dentist, in one visit.

A small titanium screw is implanted in the space left by missing teeth, this serves as an artificial tooth root on which the porcelain crown cap is placed. Using a 3D cone beam CT scan we can "virtually" place your dental implant, avoiding vital bone structures and nerves. We also have the option, when required, of making a "surgical guide" from this 3D image that allows us to precisely locate the implant placement. Then, after placement, we use digital x-rays to double-check the precision of placement. All of this advanced technology makes it possible for us to set your implant perfectly, which is the foundation for a beautiful restoration.

The all-porcelain crown cap is than manufactured using the CEREC 3D CAD/CAM system. This durable porcelain restoration will perfectly match the texture and the color of your own natural teeth and restore your teeth to their optimum function. You will be able to laugh, speak, eat and smile again with the full confidence which a beautiful, full set of teeth can give you.

Before we begin any procedure, we work up an extensive treatment plan with you outlining what you need and want from your dental restorations. We will keep you thoroughly informed during each step of the process and proceed at your comfort level. We offer anxiolysis, or anti-anxiety protocals to assist in your comfort. These medications will allow you to be anxiety-free, while still being coherent and able to communicate and respond. Your safety and comfort are very important so during the procedure we will keep track of your vitals using a pulse oximeter and blood pressure monitor.

After the procedure, most of our patients have experienced little to no discomfort. For those who feel some discomfort, cold compresses or over-the-counter pain medications are often times all that are needed.
